"CHERYL LYNN" BEGAN MAKING JEWELRY IN HER EARLY HIGH-SCHOOL YEARS. HER FIRST PIECES WERE MADE BY BENDING COPPER, BRASS AND STERLING SILVER WIRE INTO INTRICATE SHAPES AND ADDING UNIQUE BEADS TO CREATE A NECKLACE, EARRINGS OR BRACELET. BY THE AGE OF 18 SHE WAS SOLDERING WIRE AND DIFFERENT METAL SHAPES SHE HAD CUT OUT USING A JEWELERS SAW. THEN SHE WOULD INCORPERATE DIFFERENT STONES INCLUDING GARNET, AMYTHEST, MOONSTONE, TURQUOISE, BLACK ONYX, AND MANY MORE TO COMPLETE A BEAUTIFUL PEICE OF JEWELRY. (www.wranglernews.com/artfair.htm)

AFTER USING A JEWELERS SAW FOR SEVERAL YEARS TO CUT OUT METAL SHAPES, CHERYL BEGAN USING THE SAME SAW TO CUT OUT STENCILS THAT SHE WOULD USE TO PAINT WEARABLE ART. HER GOOD FRIEND KAY STRATMAN (A VERY ACCOMPLISHED PAINTER AND FIBER ARTIST-Tietracks.com) SHOWED HER HOW TO CARVE STAMPS TO ALSO USE IN PAINTING THE FABRICS. CHERYL MAINLY USES CHINESE SYMBOLS TO ENHANCE HER PIECES.
